Ultrasound and Laser Technology

With the proven accuracy of the Haglöf Vertex hypsometer and the advantages and speed of laser technology, this multi-functioning instrument is the only device you will need for your height, distance and angle measuring work.

To measure tree heights and plot radius in dense vegetation and rough undergrowth, use the Vertex ultrasound technology. When sighting is without obstacles and distances are long, Laser measuring is superior in speed and simplicity. Aim, press and get the results!

This pioneering technology makes field operation measuring work faster and more efficient than ever before, offering significant time- and cost savings, improving the result accuracy and increasing productivity.

Tree heights and plot radius

For shorter ranges, in dense forest and with difficulties to target, the Vertex Ultrasound method is perfect to use. Ultrasound works with the transponder T3 as reference point and always seeks the shortest way around any obstacle. This is why foresters prefer Ultrasound in dense terrain - it works!

With the Vertex Laser, you can decide on what method to use once you are actually on the location.

This saves you both time and trouble, and allows you to perform a quick and accurate measuring operation on multiple areas with one single instrument.

 

Hazard Trees Function

Identifying and measuring hazard trees alongside power lines, building sites, houses, roads and railways is an important task and made easy with the New Hazard Trees function in the new Vertex Laser VL402 Bluetooth®. Choose if to use IR or Bluetooth® to send the measured results to a computer caliper or other handheld for storage and further processing.

Delta Height Function

An incorporated Delta Height Function designed to measure line sag is also great for all types of control work along power lines.

Longer distance

Laser technology is ideal for measuring long distances, up to 400 meters/yards! With reflector you can measure distances as far as up to 900 m/yds.

The Vertex Laser is extremely useful for power line measuring work, where the power lines easily can be spotted and measured with the magnifying sight. Line sags, borderline trees, heights, angles and distance – cover it all with the compact, user friendly Vertex Laser.

For our customers in the utility industries and close-by operation areas, this instrument is also available as a pure Laser instrument, excluding ultrasound technology. Special feature of Delta Height function enables determination of line sag - exactly what you need in the  utility industry!

Gator Eyes with Green Laser – A Unique Solution

Haglöf Sweden solution on how to measure diameters from a distance are the unique Gator Eyes Laser Pointers. The Gator Eyes are used together with Haglöf Sweden measuring calipers.

With a 50 times stronger laser beam and including the latest in laser technology, Green Gator Eyes can be used in areas with sunlight and on long distances. Green Gator Eyes are sold mounted on calipers Mantax Black and Digitech Professional. The extra laser scale print on Mantax Black calipers in metric graduation ensures easy reading of diameter results. Available in a variation of graduations, models, and scales.
